Rare Bird is among a long list of classic 70s rock bands that only a small percentage of listeners even know existed. Those who do are fervent fans. Steve Gould was one of rock’s great lead vocalists, and his knack for writing catchy melodies and driving rhythms was unmatched. This is a GREAT album. Also worth getting are Epic Forest and Born Again. Not a bad song on all three albums. Fans of Gould will also want to check out RUNNER, the short-lived band he formed after Rare Bird’s demise. The sound is very similar. Amazon has this on CD, or you can purchase it per song as MP3.

If you like Rare Bird, also check out: Sad Cafe, City Boy, Cafe Jacques, Triumvirat, Dixon House Band, Man, Gryphon, Crowbar and Captain Beyond.
